Take a break
Taking a break from everything can help you reduce stress significantly. If your work is overwhelming just take a break, if you cannot take from what you reading just take a break, and if you are feeling heavy of whatever you are doing, just take a break from everything and give you sometime to relax your body and mind. Do not even try to scroll down social medias such as Facebook and Instagram. If you do so, you may rather get more stress from it. Sing along
It doesn't require to be loud or sing along with somebody else. You can do it quietly too. I often do this and thanks to modern technology. I put on my earphone and listen some musics that I love and sing along quietly. Try to go through with the lyrics and that literally helps me to reduce the present stress and shift my mind quickly towards something different I am comfortable with. Take a walk in nature
Having a walk alone in nature also helps to reduce a certain level of stress. Sometimes being alone is more productive and effective to decide and put all stress aside. Just try to feel the nature and find yourself in them. Nature always behaves itself and they never try to become something else which is completely different than human beings. We, human being always want to become something different which we literally are not. While you walk in nature helps you to think and find the true you in you.
Be nice to yourself
Treat yourself the best so you can feel the hit while treating others. Be nice to yourself and do not do anything to yourself that makes you uncomfortable. This will grow awareness when you expect treats from others. May be you're stressed because you aren't treated well by someone you were expecting to be treated well. He treats well who treats himself better. No matter what the situation is be nice to yourself.
Hug Somebody
It dramatically reduces amount of stress by hugging someone. When you are having a high level of stress with anger and if it happens to hug somebody at the moment, it reduces stress and calm your restless mind immediately.
Study a new topic
When you bring up same exhausting topic again and again your mind becomes weaker. When you find yourself doing the same stressful thing again and again or ruminate the painful past, it is a good chance for you to study a new topic. Only a new topic can help you to shift your painful and unpleasant past to something pleasing and interesting. Get busy with something new that brings happiness in your life and inspiring.
Sleep better
Research found that if your sleeping habit is not comfortable or disturbing it brings more discomforts in life. Most people believe that stress causes losing sleep and it is true indeed. However, having a lack of sleep even cause you more stress. This vicious cycle causes the body and brain to get out of whack and only get worse with time. Try to get sleep better and make sure you make proper environment to sleep earlier and better.
Lower your standard
In this competitive world it is always difficult to lower our standard and we want to become superior most of the time which brings more stress in our life. To maintain a high standard of life you need to pretend more and often you try to become someone who you are truly not. Lower you standard and put down of all unnecessary stresses and accept yourself as the great individual you are.
Enjoy simplicity
I always belief in simplicity. Simple is the best. But most of the time we forget about all simple things and relationships. Instead we run after the things believing they will bring more happiness in our life. We try to act perfect highly standardize our needs and wants. This brings more complications in our life and make ourselves apart. Start noticing life's little pleasures like laughing with friends and enjoying the moments. Mindfulness can significantly reduce anxiety so relax and enjoy the simple things of the moment.
