Procrastination is the enemy of success

What is your plan for this month? I want to read and finish at least one book. I want to minimize expenses for this month and keep doing the same for the rest of the months. And what are you doing today to accomplish your goal? I don’t have any plans or I haven’t started planning yet. This is exactly what happens to most of us. We have plans in our mind and know what our goal is, but we never manage our time or work to make it happen for real. Procrastination! Yes we do delay things to do. We believe we have a lot of time to plan and work.

Why do we procrastinate?

Simply we assume that we have a lot of time. Considering the playfulness of time, we do nothing and think when time comes, everything will be alright. And when time finally comes, we rush and do everything quickly or we don’t do anything. We simply procrastinate and delay the goal length. In most cases, we do not take procrastination as a serious problem and take it easy and betray ourselves by self-sabotaging.

Causes of procrastination

We very often assume that nothing serious will happen if we delay no matter how important the project is. Also, we think that it won’t take much time to finish and believe that we still have plenty of time to complete the project. Because of this consumption;

  • We eventually hold the project for the next

  • Even if we give a start we can’t finish before deadline

  • Most of the time we give up on the project and think for the alternative
