Building a good habit is always tough and hard. We plan for it and most of the time we end up not doing it at all. But is it really hard or impossible building good habits for long time? Not at all and yes to build a long term habit you must need to give importance of micro habits on daily basis. Everybody goes through a habit which could be good or bad habits. But they are all habits that is making you a real you.
We often fail at building habits by setting unsustainable goals. Micro habits make habit building easy. If you are a full time employee working for a company it is still possible to develop your life by giving importance on micro habits. 20 Minutes of Work Out
And do this 2 times a day. Once in the morning and 2nd time in the evening. Do this everyday and regularly for 30 days consequently. This micro habit will change your life forever.
30 Minutes of Reading
Similarly do this 2 times a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening or by matching your time frame. You do not need to spend hours of time on reading but this 30 minutes twice a day will change your life and give you knowledge that will assist you to decide about your life. Read about your favorite genre and not just read anything that bothers you or do not interest you at all.
60 Minutes of Side Hustling
A single job can feed you and just can provide you a living not a life that you want to live. So if you do a side hustle only for 60 minutes twice a day it will help you to do more with less. Learn a skill and side hustle only for 2 hours a day and it will change your living and open up many sources in your life to make yourself happy.
10 Minutes of Networking
Everyone is on social network sites/Apps and always busy with their Facebook, Instagram or other SNS sites/Apps. Just do 10 minutes of powerful networking to connect with people and grow your network and of course be selective to grow your network. Connect yourself with people that inspire you and you get valuable information from them to build your life you want to. You can do it anytime you want even if you are working in office and having a busy day. There always is a break time for you no matter how much busy you are.
30 Minutes of writing
This habit will make you more generous and thoughtful. Writing doesn't mean that you have to write a book, it could be a personal journal. Write about anything that inspires you, or about a new experience. And if you have a dream to write a book then it will definitely help you slowly to complete your book.
Be consistent on doing things once you decide and do not start with a lot of things at a time. You may start with these 5 micro habits and master them first and later you can do more. You need to work on micro habits because you know that you have plenty of time and you are spending them on useless things. Like watching TV is important but spending hours on watching TV is definitely not a good habit but you feed your brain unnecessary things which will give you worry and show a different path of life that you don't want. Spending time of social media is good but spending 3-5 hours a day on social media will damage your creativity. No matter how much time you spend, spend them meaningfully and wisely and always stay productive.
